Kid's School gets chickens!

Hens in a box

We decided to get new chickens for the school, so they could raise them. We purchased 4, 8 week old hens and brought them to the school and gave a lesson to the children on how to care for them.

The 4 hens are in the box.

Well, it's official - we have chickens in our coop. We are chicken sitting for Dan and Susan's chickens while the school decides whether or not they will be able to take them. These are special chickens, so I hope they stay alive.

I wish I had more time to enjoy them, as quite honestly they are a joy to behold.
